The whole firm

One register for every vehicle the firm runs.

A manager rarely has one structure. There is the management company, a general partner for each fund, the funds and feeders themselves, and holdcos and SPVs beneath them, spread over private equity, real estate and private credit. Alethia keeps them as records in one register. Projects group them by fund, deal or portfolio, and the same entity can sit in more than one project, so a strategy is a view of the register rather than a separate spreadsheet.

Other multi-entity groups, such as family offices and corporate groups, use Alethia in the same way.

Where the work piles up

The problems an investment manager carries.

Each one is a question somebody outside the firm asks, and each is answered from the same records.

Vehicle sprawl across strategies

Funds, GPs, holdcos and SPVs accumulate faster than anyone updates the list. One register with filters and projects replaces a workbook per strategy.

Who sits on which board

Directors and other officers are recorded once and appointed to each entity, so a resignation or a new appointment is visible across the firm, not found at the next filing.

Filing deadlines in several places

Each entity carries the dates that apply to its jurisdiction, with an owner and a status, so a Jersey confirmation and a Luxembourg tax return sit in the same list. Compliance is on the Governance plan.

Investor and bank requests

Answer a questionnaire from the entity, ownership, officer and document records rather than re-typing it for each counterparty. KYC is on the Governance plan.

Structure charts for committees and lenders

A chart drawn from the ownership records is current when it is opened, and can be exported for an investment committee paper or a lender pack.

Bank accounts and who can sign

Every account sits against the entity that holds it, with its signing rule, approvers and review date, so the firm can see where authority lies.

Aldgate Holdings S.à r.l. (Luxembourg) over UK Holdco Ltd and UK Midco Ltd, seven property companies and Estates OpCo Ltd. Whitechapel Ltd is proposed, Leadenhall Ltd dormant and Bishopsgate Ltd sold; the acquisition facility from Royal Bank of Scotland International and the facility from Aldgate Securitisation SA are drawn as financing.

Structure charts

The chart an investment committee or a lender asks for.

Every box is an entity record and every solid line an ownership interest with its percentage, so the chart changes when the ownership does. Ownership is held by legal, voting and economic basis, which keeps carry vehicles and part-held SPVs honest.

Key dates for Aldgate Real Estate Fund LP: incorporated 9 March 2021; JFSC annual confirmation due 10 June 2026; IMA periodic board approval due 14 August 2026; economic substance return due 9 September 2026; each managed in Compliance.

Key dates

Deadlines that follow the entity, not the person who remembers them.

Each entity shows its own key dates beside its record, and the same obligations roll up into one list across the firm with due dates, owners and reminders. The compliance calendar is part of the Governance plan.

Investor and bank requests

Answer a request from the record, with the source beside each answer.

When an investor, administrator or bank sends a questionnaire, each requirement gets a proposed answer from the entity records and a person approves it. The same records answer the next request. KYC is part of the Governance plan.

Questions

What is entity management for an investment manager?

It is keeping an accurate, current record of every legal entity the firm runs: the management company, general partners, funds, holdcos and SPVs, with who owns each, who holds office in it, what it must file and where its documents and bank accounts are. Alethia holds all of that in one register and draws the structure charts from it.

Can one workspace cover several strategies?

Yes. Private equity, real estate and private credit vehicles sit in the same register. Projects group entities by fund, deal or portfolio, and one entity can belong to several projects, so a vehicle shared by two strategies is recorded once.

How are directors and other appointments tracked?

Each person is recorded once and appointed to the entities where they hold office, so you can see who sits on which board across the firm and which appointments need attention. Where a UK company is on Companies House, you can pull its officers into the record once you confirm; nothing is added until a person says yes.

Can we answer an investor or bank KYC request from the register?

Yes, on the Governance plan. An incoming request is broken into requirements and answered from the entity, ownership, officer and document records, with the source of each answer shown beside it. KYC and the compliance calendar are on the Governance plan; the Free plan covers the register, ownership, appointments, structure charts and documents.

Do other kinds of group use it?

Yes. Alethia is built for investment managers first, but family offices, corporate groups and administrators with many entities use the same register, ownership records and structure charts.

Where is the data held?

Records are held in Google Cloud europe-west2 and uploaded files in Google Cloud europe-west2, with application servers in Vercel lhr1.
