Each record carries the jurisdiction it sits in and a legal form valid for that jurisdiction, taken from a controlled list rather than typed. Alethia is built in London. Workspace records are stored in Google Cloud's London region (europe-west2) and the application runs in London (Vercel lhr1); uploaded document files are held in Google Cloud Storage. How does it keep a multi-jurisdictional group consistent?
Controlled jurisdiction and legal-form lists keep every record valid for where it sits, ownership is tracked by legal, voting and economic basis with totals checked per basis, and the structure chart is generated from that data — so a cross-border group reads consistently rather than differing tool to tool.
Can it manage UK and offshore vehicles together?
Yes. UK companies, Jersey and Guernsey vehicles, Luxembourg SPVs and onshore EU entities sit in one register, with UK records able to pull officers and PSCs directly from Companies House. The register does not treat any one jurisdiction as the exception.
